2030 & Beyond: Zero Net Energy Homes and Deep Energy Retrofits – A View from the Trenches
Join us for the first Session of our 2030 & Beyond Series of 2016. Marc Rosenbaum PE will provide a daylong seminar on the current thinking in zero net energy and deep energy retrofit projects. Enclosure approaches and their optimization will be covered, for both new and retrofit construction. Heating and cooling, ventilation, and domestic hot water systems appropriate to low load buidings will be discussed, as well as design considerations for solar electric systems, including the effect of adding battery storage. Guidelines and conclusions will be backed up by monitored data and cases studies will provide examples. Addtional sessions in the 2030 & Beyond Series are planned for October 5 (Joe Lstiburek) and Nov. 2 (Peter Yost). 6.5 AIA LU/HSW each session.
