2008 IDID Conference
Stepping Up to the 2030 Challenge

The Integrated Design/Integrated Development Conference brings together design, construction, and real estate professionals and their suppliers and financiers for a two-day event that will illustrate the value of, and techniques for, multidisciplinary design processes that produce efficient, cost-effective, and delightful buildings, grounds, communities, and landscapes. Through educational sessions, walking and virtual tours, we aim to increase 1) the capacity of the design and construction communities to provide an integrated building process and 2) the demand for high performance buildings, grounds, and communities by building owners, municipalities, and other clients.

The next conference is slated for July 17-18, 2008 at Plymouth State University, which has itself adopted sustainable practices over the past few years.

Go to the Workshop Description page for complete details on programming.

About Ed Mazria/Architecture 2030
Ed Mazria published The Passive Solar Energy Book in 1979. Thirty years later, he leads the Architecture 2030 Challenge to meet the carbon reduction targets set by climate scientists needed to counteract climate change. In his keynote address, "Life is Good," he will describe the exciting conclusions from The 2030 Blueprint, a comparative analysis of building energy efficiency, 'clean coal' and nuclear power, along with actions to jump start the 2030 Challenge in local communities.

Space for the Conference is limited; we recommend you register early. To register, click the "Fees and Registration" at the top of the page.

Up to 10.75 AIA HSW CEUs available over the two days.

Major sponsors are PSNH, Bruss Construction, MacMillin Co., Lavallee Brensinger Architects, and Secondwind Water Systems. For information on sponsorship click here.
