ARCHITECT OR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER – REMOTE

Cormack Construction Management, a high-end custom residential design-build firm in Madison, NH is seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Designer to join our talented team. This position is being offered remotely, but the candidate must be able to make site visits and in-person meetings as required.  Our ideal candidate will be within a couple hours travel time to the Lakes Region and White Mountains of NH, and should be a current resident of New Hampshire or Maine.

We are looking for an architect who can manage all phases of new construction while coordinating with our designers, project managers, site supervisors and craftsmen.  These individuals will be integral to our process. Developing creative design concepts, working closely with clients, coordinating with the team during all phases of design, preparing construction documents and overseeing construction are key for success. Our projects are primarily residential with specific focus on energy-efficiency, sustainability, adaptive interventions, and historically-sensitive design. 

All applicants must have an eye for quality, the ability to communicate well, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong organization skills are required. A collaborative attitude, sense of humor, and the ability to adapt to ever-evolving project scope are preferred.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in high-end, custom residential design with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.
  • Knowledge of currently used industry software such as Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite are tools essential for your success. 
  • Working knowledge of building codes and governing agencies in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Experience working with clients, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
